This figure has no human face,
There are holes where eyes should be placed.
The worms must loathe this carrion
As it forgot to find the last resting-place.

Fingers of the dead search for the dust
That has just been the cure for the crumbling ghost.
A pinch of this dust should make him live
But now it’s just keeping death in his soul.

Confusing the pulse of rotting veins
With the heart beat in his hollow breast
Shivering with cold in his torn rags
He can’t see him losing the warm blood.

He needs no light in this gloomy vault.
The emptiness of eye pits shows better the way.
The blood will flow through putrefying veins
And turn into the same decomposing substance.

The eternal process of returning flesh to the ground…

The liquid substance has poured the glass.
It draws the pattern of his awful coming death.
But he won’t see this terrifying scene.
The glass has been emptied
And the essence brings him the taste of life…
